"Young Promise" International Festival and Competition
We strongly believe that the best road to international understanding is to be exposed to other cultures. And we also believe that the best way to do so is through art forms - like music and the visual arts - that cross language barriers.
Our organization focuses its efforts on children – the future of our world. Art and music are especially appealing to children, and they can be further encouraged by giving them the opportunity to be involved in an important cause.
Children will perform for other children. Young musicians will perform music from all over the world. In addition, there will be performances of other art forms like Chinese Folk Dance, Indian Folk singing, Korean martial arts and many others.
A Music Performance Competition will be conducted as a part of the festival. It will be organized in affiliation with The Chamber Music Society of Easton, the sponsors of the Bristol Chamber Orchestra. This competition is designed to find talented young musicians and to give them an opportunity to get recognition for their talents and hard work, and to promote and support music education all over the world.
Please read about the competition's Rules and Application process here. Responding to many requests we have extended the application deadline to April 15th, 2010.
